Our annual Sportsman's Banquet is another event that our church members and the community look forward to every year. Our own Senior pastor (and nationally recognized archer) Brian Hollaway is the speaker for this event and he uses hunting as a way to reach those in the community for Christ. There is always great food, lots of fun, hunting tips and techniques, and the Gospel presentation.
Spring Mens Retreat -
Lake Russell SC, April 15-17, 2010
Men, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a weekend of golf, fishing and fellowship. Price is $75.00 per person, we will be staying at the Richard B Russell State Park cabins price includes lodging, and dinner on Thursday and Friday and breakfast on Saturday. Inspirational message will be presented each evening and after breakfast .
This annual free event is a huge hit with our church members and with the community! With over 600 participants in 2009, we look forward to an even bigger tournament in 2010! Mark your calendars now for one of the most exciting fishing events of the year!
Brian Hollaway has been featured in Bowhunter Magazine, seen on ESPN, TNN and OLN for his hunting and archery accomplishments. He has many P&Y record book animals to his credit. He is a guide for Hadley Creek Outfitters, Pike County, IL. He is a factory Pro staff member for the following organizations: Mathews Archery, Summit Tree Stands, and Rocky Mountain Broadheads. Brian took second in the world championship of 3D archery in 1998, he was a member of the world championship pro team in 1999 and 2000. He has won many national level events and has three top five finishes at the ESPN Great Outdoor Games!
